In this video, we show off the 110 connections on the back of an Ethernet patch panel and explain how they work. When Cat.5E or Cat.6 cable is punched down onto those 110 connectors, the metal blades wedge aside, slice through the wire jacket, and create a gas-tight connection for transmitting low-voltage electrical current. We also explain how to fix an incomplete connection, and what to do (and what not to do) if you made a mistake.
