These wire distribution spools are used to neatly organize internal pairs or wires as they are being terminated on communication backboards and racks that are wood, steel or concrete. This design includes a screw for installation. Wire distribution spools provide a quick and easy means to support wires on surfaces. This White Mushroom with Screw is a High-impact plastic spool, also known as a mushroom, used to neatly guide and retain cable, cords, and cross connect or jumper wires. This cabling is held in place by the spool's rim to allow easy access for changes or modifications. Mushrooms are usually placed just about an inch above the 66 block on either of its top corners. By doing this the cross connect wire can be routed around the mushrooms so that the cross connect isn’t hanging haphazardly around the 66 block. They are easy to install by simply making a small pilot hole then driving the mushroom in by hand with its build in screw on the end of it.
