Cat5E Computer Cable 1000ft CMR/PVC Boxed Bulk Ethernet.

Cable Category 5E Cable is Network Ethernet cabling that consists of four twisted pairs of copper wire terminated by RJ45 connectors. While the base standard set by TIA/EIA for cat5E is 100 MHz, our cat5E cable supports frequencies up to 350 MHz and for 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet. Additionally, Cat5E Ethernet cable can be used for voice, video, data, ATM, token ring, and direct networking. Cat5E cable runs should be limited to a maximum length of 328 feet (100 meters. Currently, cat5E is the standard for data cabling communication with cat6, cat6A, and cat7 being faster.

Item Detail:
1000ft of blue Category 5E solid bulk cable with a PVC jacket. This is computer cable that can be used for voice, data, or video transmission. 4-pair unshielded twisted pair solid wire. The PVC jacket has sequential foot markers that indicate how many feet of cable are left. 350MHz, Verified compliant with EIA/TIA standards by UL and ETL. Its UL listing not only meets, but also exceeds Cat5E 350MHz standards. Cat5E Cable Standards provide a performance rate of 350 MHZ Cat5E Cable is suitable for Gigabit Ethernet, telephony and video signals High-performance data communications cable for noisy environment PVC is Designed for indoor installations aka CMR Riser Cable CMX Outdoor Cable is UV Jacketed Cable Plenum is fire rated Jacketed Cable Excellent attenuation and crosstalk characteristics

Standards: EIA, TIA 568 B.2-1, UL, CSA, ISO, IEC 11801, UL/cUL, ETL High-performance data communications cable for noisy environment Designed for indoor installations, (CMR) riser Excellent attenuation and crosstalk characteristics Standards: EIA, TIA 568 B.2-1, UL, CSA, ISO, IEC 11801, UL/cUL, ETL CAT 5 Cable Standards: Category 5 cable, commonly referred to as cat 5, is a twisted pair cable for carrying signals. This type of cable is used in structured cabling for computer networks such as Ethernet. The cable is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), and 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet). Cat 5 is also used to carry other signals such as telephony and video. Most Category 5 cables are unshielded, relying on the twisted pair design for noise rejection. Some, however, are shielded. Category 5 has been superseded by the Category 5e specification structured cabling for computer networks such as Ethernet, and is also used to carry many other signals such as basic voice services, token ring, and ATM (at up to 155 Mbit/s, over short distances).

The specification for Category 5 cable was defined in ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A, with clarification in TSB-95. These documents specified performance characteristics and test requirements for frequencies of up to 100 MHz. Category 5 cable includes twisted pairs in a single cable jacket. This use of balanced lines helps preserve a high signal-to-noise ratio despite interference from both external sources and other pairs (this latter form of interference is called crosstalk). It is most commonly used for 100 Mbit/s networks, such as 100BASE-TX Ethernet, although IEEE 802.3ab defines standards for 1000BASE-T – Gigabit Ethernet over category 5 cable. Each of the four pairs in a Cat 5 cable has a differing precise number of twists per meter based on prime numbers to minimize crosstalk between the pairs. On average there are 6 twists per 5 centimeters. The pairs are made from 24 gauge (AWG) copper wires within the cables. CAT 5E Cable Standards: Specification for CAT5E cable was defined in ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A and in TSB-95. This specifies performance characteristics and test requirements for frequencies. Cable types, connector types and cabling topologies are defined by TIA/EIA-568-B. Nearly all connections are 8P8C mod connectors (RJ45 connectors) that are used for connecting CAT5E cable. Cable is terminated in either the T568A scheme or the T568B scheme. These two schemes work equally well and may be mixed in an installation so long as the same scheme is used on both ends of each cable. The cable is available in both stranded and solid conductor forms. The stranded form is more flexible and withstands more bending without breaking. Permanent wiring is solid-core, while patch cables are stranded. Note: The specific category of cable in use can be identified by the printing on the side of the cable. is your trusted source for cabling tools and parts As part of Nova Voice and Data Systems, we’ve been installing cable in commercial buildings across the United States for over 25 years. Experience has taught us that there is no substitute for quality, commercial grade, cable and jacks that meet or exceed your job requirements. Install with confidence by using the same parts our experienced technicians have been using for over two decades and never settle for cheap parts that will fail and cost you time and money to go back and fix.
