Product Overview
RG6 1000ft PVC Black CATV Direct Burial Coax Cable - AL Shield 1000ft of black RG6/U coaxial cable with standard shield. Comes in a pull box.
18AWG solid CCS conductor, bonded aluminum foil shield, high grade (UL), CMR - CATV, CL2. This RG6 has a copper-clad steel (CCS) center conductor with a combination aluminum foil/aluminum braid shield and has 60% aluminum braided shield.
Features:
Coaxial cable conducts electrical signal using an inner conductor surrounded by an insulating layer and all enclosed by a shield, typically layers of woven metallic braid and metallic tape. Coaxial cable is protected by an outer insulating jacket. Normally, the shield is kept at ground potential and a voltage is applied to the center conductor to carry electrical signals. Coaxial Cable is design so that electric and magnetic fields are confined to the dielectric with little leakage outside the shield. Electric and magnetic fields outside the cable are largely kept from causing interference to signals inside the cable. Coax cables with multiple shields have less leakage. Coaxial cable is good for carrying weak signals that cannot tolerate interference from the environment or for stronger electrical signals that must not be allowed to radiate or couple into adjacent structures or circuits.
